Michelle is so excited to join the DeeTox team and serve our community in Chapel Hill! She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Miami and completed graduate degrees at Duke University, Gonzaga University, and John’s Hopkin’s University. She is Board Certified as both a Family Nurse Practioner and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Michelle began her aesthetics journey training and working with her dear friend and master aesthetic trainer/injector, Erika Barry, in Washington, DC. She is passionate about whole-person wellness, enhancement of natural beauty, and helping patients feel like the best and freshest version of themselves. She loves to learn and bring new knowledge, modalities and options to her patients.
Michelle is originally from the Netherlands and moved to Chapel Hill as a teen. She is a mom to a sweet baby boy, completed yoga teacher training and loves to practice yoga, and loves to travel and experience places and cultures. Kristie Foushee, RN, has enjoyed a remarkable nursing career spanning over three decades. Her journey began at UNC Hospitals, where she gained comprehensive experience in various nursing specialties. During her time at UNC Hospitals, Kristie honed her skills in post-operative care and floor nursing, which laid the foundation for her eventual role as the UNC Vein Clinic Director. This position was crucial in shaping her professional trajectory, especially in the realm of aesthetics.
As the Director of the UNC Vein Clinic, Kristie performed sclerotherapy on hundreds of patients, effectively treating varicose and spider veins. Julia earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from NC State before pursuing her nursing education at Duke University, where she completed her Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctorate in Nursing. With over a decade of nursing experience, she has been practicing as a Nurse Practitioner since 2017, primarily in procedural and surgical settings, ultimately setting her up for great success as an aesthetic injector.
